As an emrging leader in the industry, we are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as the Team Lead – Electric Vehicles.
Position Overview:
The Team Lead – Electric Vehicles will be responsible for leading the implementation and management of our electric vehicle program. This role will involve overseeing the deployment of EVs within our fleet, coordinating with internal stakeholders to ensure successful integration, and managing day-to-day operations related to electric vehicle maintenance, charging infrastructure, and driver training. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electric vehicle technology, project management, and team leadership.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy for the integration of electric vehicles into our fleet, including setting goals, timelines, and performance metrics.
- Lead the procurement process for electric vehicles, including researching available options, negotiating contracts with manufacturers or dealers, and coordinating vehicle delivery and setup.
- Collaborate with internal departments, such as operations, fleet management, and maintenance, to ensure seamless integration of electric vehicles into daily operations.
- Oversee the installation and maintenance of electric vehicle charging infrastructure, including selecting appropriate charging stations, coordinating installation with vendors, and monitoring charging station performance.
- Develop and implement driver training programs to ensure that all drivers are proficient in operating electric vehicles safely and efficiently.
- Monitor and analyze electric vehicle performance data, including energy consumption, battery health, and vehicle efficiency, to identify opportunities for optimization and improvement.
- Coordinate with regulatory agencies and utility providers to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and take advantage of incentives or rebates available for electric vehicle adoption.
- Provide leadership and guidance to a team of electric vehicle technicians and support staff, including scheduling, training, and performance management.
- Stay informed about developments in electric vehicle technology, industry trends, and best practices to inform decision-making and drive continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to promote the benefits of electric vehicles and sustainability initiatives within the company and the broader community.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in electric vehicle technology, renewable energy, or sustainable transportation, with a focus on project management and leadership.
- Strong understanding of electric vehicle technology, including battery systems, charging infrastructure, and vehicle performance metrics.
- Proven track record of successfully managing complex projects from conception to implementation, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team to achieve common goals.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement.
- Knowledge of relevant regulations and incentives related to electric vehicles, sustainability, and environmental compliance.
- Ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders, including executives, employees, customers, and regulatory agencies.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools, such as Microsoft Project or Asana.
- Passion for sustainability and a commitment to driving positive change through innovation and collaboration.
